New ATTC Club Shirt

Play to recommence on December 2nd 2020

  • Table tennis at ATTC recommences on Wed 2nd December
  • Table booking procedures as before
  • New parking, entry & drink restrictions

You will be aware of the current lockdown coming to an end at 00:01 on Wednesday 2 December being replaced by an updated Tier system as announced by HM Government.

We at Ashford have been placed in Tier 2 (high alert), as have the boroughs in which most of our members live.

Playing Restrictions

Pending any further update in guidance from Table Tennis England (TTE) this means:

  • The Club will be able to re-open on Wednesday 2nd. Players must not attend if they are having any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in previous 14 days
  • Adults will be able to play with someone from one other household in any one day. You cannot play multiple people on the same day. Play in larger groups will only be possible if with people from the same household / support bubble
  • U18’s (age at the date of playing) and people with a disability are allowed to play in bubbles of up to 15
  • Multiple groups of 2 people are allowed in the hall (i.e. 2 per table) at the same time but they must NOT mix when playing or socially
  • One to one coaching from a qualified and paid coach can continue as prior to the lockdown
  • There will be no changing of ends unless playing with people from the same household / support bubble. Even then it is recommended that surfaces that a player may come into contact with are wiped down, this does not include the whole surface of the table, but would include the edges/sides of the table
  • There will be no doubles unless playing with people from the same household / support bubble (i.e. all 4 players are from the same bubble)

For anyone who lives in a Tier 3 (very high alert) area:

  • Adults can only play with someone from their own household or support bubble
  • U18’s (age at the date of playing) and people with a disability are allowed to play in bubbles of up to 15

Parking, Entry & Drinks

Please also note the following:

You should park in either a side road or there is a car park as you drive in towards HMP Bronzefield next door on the left, only a couple of minutes’ walk to the entrance. The little “wicket gate” to the right of the main gates will be open to access the site on foot.

– A new card entry door system will be in operation (see below).

– The bar and the kitchen will NOT be open, you must bring your own drinks with you. There is a tap (drinking water) outside close to the entrance door.

New Card Entry Door System

Finally – the new card entry door system will be operating. We are collecting the programmed membership cards for current members early next week and will distribute them as you attend for the first time following the re-opening. Further details will be sent to members about this before next Wednesday.

Stay safe

Best wishes
