National Junior League Results – Day 3 – 11th Jan 2020

Last season 176 teams played in 15 centres all over the country on 4 days.
Ashford has 3 teams playing in NJL 2019-20 (same as 2018-19) across 3 divisions.
Our matches are played at Cippenham TTC in Slough on:
- October 19th 2019
- November 23rd 2019
- January 11th 2020
- March 7th 2020
Ashford A – Division 1
Team: Rohan Raj, Sam Piesley, Harry Searle
Our “A” team, playing in the top division, started the day well with three good wins, all 4-2 against Hillingdon A, Kingfisher A and Warren Spring A. The last match resulted in a 2-4 loss to Reading A.
Sam led the way playing at number 2 with 7 wins out of 8.
The team finished 3rd in the division and will stay in the top division for the final day on March 7th.
Ashford B – Division 2
Team: Harsil Shah, Ashrith Behara, Daniel Winders
Our “B” team, playing in the second division, started with a 4-2 win against Chiltern B.
The next match, against Cippenham B, ended in a 3-3 draw.
The final two matches against Guildford and Chilten A were each lost 2-4.
Harshil, playing at number one, won 5 out of 8.
The team finished 4th in the division and will stay in the second division for the final day on March 7th.
Ashford C – Division 3
Team: Neil Prabhu, Saharsh Didigam, Maninder Singh
Our “C” team, playing in the third division, had a very good day, winning three of their four matches: 5-1 against Cippenham C and Chiltern C, then 6-0 against Reading B.
Despite losing 2-4 to Kingfisher B in the final match, the team finished top of division three.
Both Neil and Saharsh won 7 out of 8 matches.
By finishing top, the team won promotion to division two, where they will be playing our B team for the final day on March 7th.
