Handicap Summer League 2021
By ATTC Webmaster on Jun 06, 2021 with Comments 0
As you will be aware the Club has, for many years, run a Handicap Summer League.
Whilst this obviously could not take place last year, we are hoping to be able to run it again this year.
It will though depend upon the lifting of restrictions and this is, of course, not certain, both in terms of when and to what degree. The earliest the restrictions will be lifted will be June 21st so the start date could be any time after then.
Matches will be on a Wednesday evening.
There will be a new format with games played up to 11 as normal and then with a points adjustment to the total points scored over all the sets. This means everyone, irrespective of ability will have an even chance.
There will be 4 singles and hopefully a doubles will be permitted.
2 players a side to play each match – with squads of 3 or 4 players per team.
An entry fee of £15 per team will be levied, with all entry fees returned in the form of prize money.
The number of fixtures will depend upon the number of entries. We will have to rely on the membership to organise themselves into teams and to select a captain.
Given the circumstances we are going to need to be flexible around start dates / exact format but we need to get an idea of players / teams wishing to participate.
To enter a team, please do so by Wednesday 16 June:
- The team captain should send an email to:
- The email should identify the following:
- The team name
- The squad members (this can be finalised subsequently)
