New ATTC Club Shirt

Juniors vs Oaks TTC – June 3rd 2018

Ashford juniors played against a very inexperienced team from Oaks TTC (Ealing), many of them playing their first competitive matches.

Both sides had 4 teams or 3 players each, the A & B teams from each club playing each other and the C & D teams in a separate pool.

After the first 40 mins of play the size of the experience gap became very apparent – Oaks had yet to win a single game.

We decided at that point to give a 5 point handicap to all Oaks players for the rest of the session.

From then on the matches became a lot closer with lots of matches going to 4 or 5 sets and tight scores in many games.

However, despite the handicaps Ashford players still had the match play knowledge to prevail in most cases.

The final score was Ashford 63-9 Oaks.
