George Long Wins Milton Keynes 2 Star U17 Title

George Long - Milton Keynes 2 star tournament winner

George Long

George Long has won the Under 17’s title at the Milton Keynes “Triple-Group” 2* Table Tennis Championships.

Held on Saturday February 13th 2016 at Milton Keynes Table Tennis Centre, Ashford junior member George won the Under 17 title – beating Matthew Daish (Table Tennis England junior rank 31) on the way.

This is a great achievement for George, especially considering he is still a Cadet (under 15). George also managed to come 3rd in the Under 16’s.

Winning this 2* Table Tennis England event means that George is now ranked 35 in the TTE Cadet rankings and around 60-65 in the TTE Under 21’s rankings.

His regular play in the Staines League first division and frequent practising with Ashford’s top players has really helped to develop his game to achieve this success.

Well done George – keep it up!

TTE Ranking Age ranges:

  • Cadet: Under 15’s
  • Junior: Under 18’s
  • Senior: No age restriction
  • Veteran: Over 40’s
