On Friday 1st May, our Swedish friends returned from Stockholm to play us in a Friendly for the third time, on there last visit in 2007 they won 7-3 and received a trophy to take back to Sweden. This year they returned with the Trophy and we were keen to win this for the first time.

Our team was Anthony Johnson, Adam Brewer & Rasul Farhat, the Swedish team was Hans Kroon (capt), Soren Nordberg & Thomas Berg. 

This year the result was much closer, we played over 9 games and the result could have gone either way as it all came down to the last match which went to 5 games, sadly we narrowly lost 4-5.

The quality of table tennis from both sets of players was fantastic to watch, the standard from the Swedish Team was consistently good and this made the evenings table tennis enjoyable to watch.

We would like to thank the guys for there visit, we would also like to thank Ann-Marie Johnson for preparing food for both the teams and finally many thanks to the members who came down and watched the two teams play a close and competitive match.
